SynchroWave is a radial shockwave lithotripter combined with and synchronised to an electrotherapy device.
At exactly the same moment that a pulse fires between the electrotherapy pads there will be a shockwave radiated from the hand piece of the lithotripter to break up any fats sandwiched between the skin and the tensioned muscle.
Treatments can be applied all over the body and the SynchroWave technique is especially suited to the tummy. This is the favourite correction after the stretching of childbirth.
Description of the SynchroWave machine
It uses two power sources: electricity and compressed air. The compressed air comes from a small compressor alongside the SynchroWave machine and will drive a tiny piston in the hand piece that the therapist holds.
From the machine come two wires with pads on the end. The pads are applied to the body and a soft current flows between them. This is adjustable. The hand piece is on the end of an air hose and the compressed air is controlled by the settings on the machine.
The machine only works whilst the therapist’s foot is on the foot switch so by moving the foot it can be instantly switched off.
Treatment procedure
• Select the area to treat.
• Place the electrotherapy pads about 100 mm apart either side of the selected area.
• Apply
CellSonic™ gel to the selected area, hold the tip of the hand piece gently over the area and start the procedure by holding down the foot switch. Full instructions for the machine are in the manual and the local CellSonic distributor will train the therapist before permitting use with a patient.
• The sensation of the electrotherapy can be adjusted at the machine. It is usual to increase the tingling when the patient becomes accustomed to the sensation. The number of times the pulses are given (the frequency) can be speeded up or slowed down to suit the patient. At all times the patient can tell the therapist what to do.
• The machine stops every ten seconds for ten seconds. This elapse allows the body to adjust and prevents any nerve damage. The synchronising and the elapsing are efficiency and safety features unique to CellSonic.
• The treatment session can last one hour and be repeated as often as required, usually twice a week.
• After treatment, wipe of the CellSonic gel and apply CellSonic cream which contains a tightening agent for the skin. This cream should be used daily and regularly.
